How To Create 3d Models Using A Cnc Router

Companies are using CNC hot wire foam cutters to cut any 2D foam shapes that only requires flat surface. When there is a need to make a 3D shape, a CNC Router needs to be used. A CNC router will machine any 3D shape. It is a 3-axis machine, which means it moves in a 3D space diagonally and in curves, in motions that resemble milling or carving. The router can create 3D designs from numerous types of material, including:
EPS foam, urethane foam, aluminum, light wood, acrylics, plastics and polycarbonate, ABS. The machining process involves creating 3D model using 3D CAD software, then bringing this model into a 3D tool-path that will tell the router the shape size, the resolution, cutting directions, cutting depth, etc.

The shapes that can be created with a router are almost unlimited.
Applications & Industries:
* Automotive Full scale cars, boats, planes
* Aerospace UAVs models
* Architectural Any 3D architectural shapes
* Fine Art, sculptures, statues
* Marine Boats, ships models
* Museums 3D displays, faces, statues
* Navigation Topographic maps

If you have a 3D model you wish to design and it is either too large or too thick to be machined due to height or cutter length restrictions or the foam material not being thick enough, the shape can be sliced into sections. Each slice will be machined separately using the router and then the pieces can be glued together. The machined parts can then be sanded and coated with protective hard shell and painted, which will also take care of eliminating any visible grooves due to the gluing. Routers can also be used to create molds that can later be poured with concrete or polyurethane and other casting materials.

CNC routers range from a few inches of working area all the way up to 50 feet in length.
Every router uses a spindle it is the motor that is doing the actual cutting. Routers spindles range from 1HP (horse power) to 20HP and above, and they can hold end mills (the driller) from 1/16 all the way to 2 and above.
Different materials require different end mills and different cutting speeds. The denser the material the slower the cutting speed.

If you need to create a foam shape design that is large or even full scale you can use a small model, scan it using a 3D scanner then transport it into the CNC router for machining, using a specialty cutting software that generates the part file. Using the scanner enables you to convert any regular model to a live-size design. Any model can be scanned a face, a sculpture, a car toy, train, boat, plain and anything you need larger. You do not have to visualize and imagine how the 3D model will look like the scanner does it for you.

Business in Photography

Louis Daguerre of Paris, France can be said to be the Father of Commercial Photography. His daguerreotype of processing an image captured from then -advanced-technology- camera obscura was the pivotal development in the history of photography.

Although his first photograph with a human person in 1838 was an -accidental shot- which took more than 10 minutes of exposure in order for the image to be captured into his camera, it paved the way to the commercialization of photography. It created a demand for photographic portraiture in the middle classes which could not be sufficiently served by then current and expensive method of oil painting.

Commerce and industry opened its doors to photography. From its initial commercial visage of portraiture, photography evolved into other mercantile forms and vehicles, where it picked up payment for the -images- depicted rather than attach value to the photographs as -works of art-. Among the many forms and industry uses of photography, the following are mainstream applications:

Advertising photography that visually promotes products and services Fashion and glamour, usually employing models that enhance the products Crime scene photography as tools that offer clues and proofs to theories that help solve crimes and mysteries Still life photography depicting wonders that only photographs can convey Food photography, an area where food palatability is scrumptiously enhanced Editorial photography and photojournalism that successfully enhance and sensationalise news and stories Portrait and wedding photography that renders romanticism and sentimentality Landscape photography that serves to invigorate the tired soul Wildlife photography bringing realism to flora and fauna in their natural environments Paparazzi photography of freelance practitioners preying on usually -unsanctioned and unsolicited- personal photographs of celebrities, politicians, the prominent and wealthy that make juicy gossip items in prestigious publications

Aside from the top-class line of photography professions enumerated above, other businesses allied or related to photography have been an industry backbone that has contributed much to the economy of many countries, coming in different forms and modes:

Manufacture of equipment, accessories, consumables, parts and tools Sales and servicing of equipment, accessories and tools Photography and videography studios and services Image and photo printing and reproduction Printing media manufacture, sales and distribution Archiving and storage of document and photo images

There is also an opportunity area for photographs of national heritage import and/or phenomenal works of art such as 99 Cent II Diptychon, dubbed as -the most expensive photograph in the world- when it was auctioned for US$3.34 million at Sotheby’s on February 7, 2007.

d Product Photography

How To Get Tack Sharp Photographs – A Digital Photography Tip

Did you ever ask yourself how professional photographers get their photographs so sharp and have you wondered how you can do it yourself? Their images are so crisp, so sharp! If they can do it you must be able to do it to, right? So how can you do it?
A couple of years ago when I just started out with photography I was wondering how to do this. Everybody can take a more or less sharp picture, but to take a extremely sharp photograph takes some knowledge. This extreme level is known as tack sharp. If you take a tack sharp photo then you’ve taken an image with the absolute best sharpness. How do you do this?
A couple factors determine if your photographs are going to be tack or not:

Digital photography tip #1: the use of tripods

Some people don’t really like tripods. They can be quite cumbersome. Tripods can be annoying because they are heavy and if you are taking pictures outside they can hold you back quite a bit.
What they can do, however, is get you to that tack level sharpness. With this level of sharpness there can be absolutely no movement or it will result in a fuzzy image

Digital photography tip #2: The use of timers

Use a timer as much as possible. This will further eliminate any movement that might be caused when you take a picture. Although this will greatly improve the quality of your images, it will slow you down even more.

Digital photography tip #3: Lenses

If you have a good lens then your image will be sharper in most cases. The downside is that good lenses cost a lot of money and if you don’t have a lot of cash to spend this point won’t help you as much. The Digital single-lens reflex cameras of today usually come with a standard lens (probably an 18mm to 55mm). While these are great to start with they aren’t the best when it comes to quality, as it has a lot of moving parts in it and good zoom lenses cost a lot. Don’t let this discourage you though. If your names isn’t Rockefeller and you don’t swim in pools of cash there are other ways to get that absolute clarity.

Digital photography tip #4: Aperture

Two stops down from wide open is when your lens is at it’s sharpest. Take the 18mm 55mm lens for example. When you put the aperture at about f/8 then your photograph is going to be sharper then with an aperture of f/3,5.

Digital photography tip #5: Shutter speed

Shorter shutter speeds reduce the chance of getting any motion blur. If there’s one thing that messes up tack sharp images, it’s motion blur. So what are good speeds? Flowers don’t move a lot, so a shutter speed of 1/250 might be able to do the trick. A car or an athlete on the other hand is going to need a shutter speed of 1/2000 or more. The rule of thumb is: The faster your subject is moving the faster your shutter speed needs to be.

Now you have the knowledge to create super sharp images. The next thing you need to do is going out and try these techniques. The main thing that you need to keep in mind is to reduce motion blur.

Secrets of Whiteboard Photography

Online Portfolios for photographers”>Never rewrite anything you can digitize. If you’ve ever been tasked with copying a full whiteboard after an intense brainstorming session, you know what I mean.

You’ve just finished participating in one of the most amazing brainstorming sessions of your career. The massive whiteboard, which covers an entire wall of the conference room, is covered with words, arrows, and diagrams. You’re about to rush from the room to begin putting these plans into action when your boss says to you, “Robertson! Would you please copy down these notes and circulate them to everyone who attended the meeting?”

Copy those notes?! Not even Leonardo Da Vinci could reproduce those drawings. Suddenly, an air of calm comes over you as you recall “Secrets of Whiteboard Photography” from Digital Photography Hacks. You pull your digital camera out from your backpack and go to work. Why rewrite something that’s already been written, when you can photograph it, save it as a .jpg file, and circulate it to anyone with a browser on their computer?

This hack will make more sense to you if you first understand how a camera sees the world. Most cameras are calibrated for capturing blue skies, green grass, and other middle tones. And, more often than not, your camera will try to convert anything on the extreme end of the exposure scale to those same middle tones. So the black cat becomes gray and the whiteboard becomes a murky beige color. So, job number one is to find your exposure compensation adjustment and set it to +1. That will tell your camera to overexpose the subject and make the whiteboard white, not gray. Then, turn up the room lights, open the shades, and turn off your camera’s built-in flash. Those little strobes might be fine for blinding your best friend at her birthday party, but they’re not so good for shooting whiteboards? unless, that is, you don’t care about reading the writing. Flashes tend to nuke white shiny surfaces.

How Sig Sauer Mosquito Is Different From 1911 Traditional Models

Sig Sauer’s early model the 1911 is better known as the Sig Sauer 1911 Traditional. While Sig Sauer Mosquito is the recent and modern firearm range that is ruling the pistol market. Both the traditional 1911 and Sig Sauer Mosquito models are among the acclaimed pistols for military warfare and small scale hunting. They are weather resistant and especially the Traditional 1911 Sig Sauer pistols feature the legendary techniques and making that makes Sig Sauer a global name. Sig Sauer 1911 Traditional and Sig Mosquito have some important differences.

Sig Mosquito is a semi-automatic pistol that is blowback operated and chambered to fire the .22 LR cartridge. The design of this series resembles that of P226, another popular series of Sig Sauer pistols. But still, the Mosquito models are smaller in size. Being a modern firearm, every initiative is taken to make them user friendly. The polymer frame of the weapon make them absolutely hardy and weather resistant. Even in rugged terrain, the pistols remain scratch-free. Also for the advantage of the users, the controls and operation are just like full-sized pistols. There is a decocking lever, safety lock, hammer fall and 10 round of magazine calibre. They are also available in a variety of models and most importantly colors. The accessory rail on all the models allow easy mounting of sight devices.

The special editions of Mosquito model are green, pink and even crimson in color. The two-tone frames are both black and stainless steel colored. The Mosquito Sport is known for its 4.9 inch barrel and high accuracy. Standard Mosquito has a polymer frame, adjustable rear and Double action/single action trigger mechanism. Mosquito with threaded barrel is wear resistant in every way. There is facility for a threaded barrel adapter with 28 thread pattern. Safety features for the users are decocking lever, auto drop and lock of barrel and slide and magazine safety.

Compared to the Sig Mosquito, the 1911 Traditional models are chambered to fire both the .22LR, .40 S&W and the 9 mm cartridges and they have also offered a platform for development of newer models. There are five models in 1911 Traditional that includes Reverse Two-Tone, Compact Stainless, Traditional Match Elite Stainless and Two-Tone Match Elite and the Tacops. Great tolerance and close combat are two benefits of these models that make them hunter friendly. The Compact Stainless model has custom grips, better controls and be used with night sights. The Tacops is a more revised version with nitron finish, grip safety and match-grade barrel. While these model have mostly concentrated on accuracy and durability, the user comfort has been taken care of in Sig Sauer Mosquito versions.
