EVE Online’s Powerful Private Servers Explained

EVE Online, developed by CCP Games, boasts one of the largest server clusters of any MMO, supporting over 5,000 solar systems and millions of objects, all in one giant shared universe.Their server system is so robust that they schedule a one hour down time every day to run backups, and the system can handle up to 25,000 players (and sometimes more) without collapsing.
|Despite supporting over 50,000 simultaneous users, the server cluster requires just one hour of downtime a day for maintenance.|Only one hour a day of maintenance is required for this monster server cluster, which is designed to scale to support over 50,000 simultaneous users.|With over 50,000 users logged in at peak times, the server cluster can cope with node failures, hardware crashes, and still keeps on going – with only an hour of maintenance a day.|A daily downtime of an hour a day is all that’s required to keep this giant server cluster running, supporting over 50,000 users at peak times.[/spin]

The requirements of EVE Online are such that running private servers becomes impossible – unless you have hundreds of 64bit processors and some ultra-fast solid state storage.

However, the lack of EVE Online private servers benefits players and helps with the game experience. However, the lack of EVE Online private servers benefits players and helps with the game experience. No other game boasts as many simultaneous users in such a large shared universe, and this is the real appeal of EVE Online. Because EVE Online runs on a single cluster, there’s never a choice, like in World of Warcraft, or City of Heroes, to decide which server you’re going to be on based on the server your friends are on.

You’re either on the Tranquility server (if you use the English language interface) or the Serenity server (if you’re using the Chinese language interface), and there are usually ten thousand or more players on simultaneously to interact with. By logging into the test cluster, Singularity, players can test upcoming features and EVE Online ships, and help shape the game’s development.

By contrast with World of Warcraft, there are dozens, if not hundreds, of private servers out there, that will let anywhere from a hundred to maybe a thousand players log in simultaneously. For WoW, this is an opportunity to “grind in private”; if you tried doing that on EVE Online, you’d have a hard time hooking up with other players at all, due to the massive size of the universe to explore.

An EVE Online private server would require so many expensive, high end, complex servers that – for many people – it would be cheaper to buy a supercomputer from Silicon Graphics or Cray.

Pets Spark, The Only Permanent Solution For Dog Tear Stains

As a pet owner, you have probably tried everything in your power to find a solution to the problem of dog tear stains. These stains are rather unsightly, ruin the soft fur of your favourite pet and certainly can’t be good for the health of your dog. While most products commonly found on the market to this day provide a quick-fix for dog eye stains, none of these products will actually prevent those stains from reappearing in other words, none of these products offer a permanent solution to dog tear stains.

Many people believe that tear stains simply come from excessive tearing, or overactive tear ducts. While this may be true to a certain extent, there is certainly more to it than that. Because of any tearing, the surrounding fur around the eyes is a great breeding ground for any bacteria; its humid and damp, two things essential to the development of any kind of bacteria. Basically, the light reflecting on the moisture area and the bacteria itself contributes to the stains; when the light hits this particular area, it turns the fur into this unsightly brown or reddish shade that we call ‘dog tear stains’.

Pets Spark has decided to not only provide a solution to remove those stains from the eyes of your beloved four-legged friend, but also to attack the problem at its source; the bacteria. Most products, as aforementioned, will take away the stains to give back your dog its original appearance. The problem is that the stains are free to come back at anytime. By using Pets Spark, you will be assured that the bacteria will no longer have the power to breed, as it is attacked by the active ingredients in the Pets Spark formula.

Pets Spark is available under a powdery form. This powder is to be included in your dog’s regular diet to ensure full consumption of the daily dose of Pets Spark. The dose will be gradually augmented until it reaches its peak dosage, then maintained for a certain time and eventually decreased until full removal of the dosage. This will ensure that the active ingredients found in Pets Spark get enough time to attack the bacteria and prevent its reappearance in the future. Pets Spark is available in a few tasty flavours for all taste buds: Beef Liver, Chicken, Vegetarian and Sweet Potato.

If you are looking for a permanent dog tear stains removal solution, look no further. Pets Spark will ensure that not only the existing stains fade away, but that the bacteria causing the coloring of the fur around the eyes of your dog does not have the possibility to breed and live anymore. Your pet will certainly thank you for that and you will be able to parade your beloved dog proudly for years to come!

Why Renting A Piano May Be A Good Idea For You

Why Renting a Piano is a Smart Idea

Do you think it’s a waste of money to rent a piano?

One good reason is commitment. The majority of all piano owners have only bought one to two pianos. Pianos are a big purchase if you want one that will sound good and not have problems.

One of the many reasons why families buy a piano is to start their kids in piano lessons. It’s hard to fork out a hug stack of cash on a piano when you’re not sure if it’s going to be played.

Sure, you can get a cheap beat up used piano for 0 or so, and that might be just fine, but usually those pianos end up costing you the same amount of money as a low-end new piano because of the repairs you’ll have to pay for through your piano tuner.

Some of the benefits that come from renting a piano are:

* You can rent a good piano and get used to the feel and sound so when you are ready to buy, you will know more about picking a good piano.
* Almost all piano rental businesses let you apply a certain amount of rent towards the purchase of the piano.
* College students who have had a piano at home can rent a piano while away at school to keep up their skills.
* Families who have kids starting lessons can rent a piano and see how their kids do. If you find that your kids just aren’t musical, you can return the piano.
* There are a lot of people who travel, are in the military and move frequently, or who are doing internships or sebaticals that would like a piano while they are in the area. Then when they move, they don’t have to worry about moving the piano.

Piano rentals can be very beneficial whether you are planning on buying a piano or not.

Where to find rental pianos:

Look for piano dealers in your area by searching online or in your phone directory. Most piano dealers have some kind of rental program. You can also search online with the keyword “Piano Rentals (enter your city here)” This should help you get started.

Remember to look for options to buy incase you are looking to buy in the future. Many rental piano businesses will allow you to apply 6 months to a year of rent towards the purchase of your rental piano.

You’ll also want to find out how long you are required to rent before you sign the rental contract. Some rental places require a year but that may be difficult for college students or others who may move in that amount of time. If you do move, usually the rental piano business will move the piano for you.

This should get you started on renting a piano. Happy renting!

So you just got a new Mac huh? And now you’re trying to figure out how to make the transition from life as a Windows user to a new operating system. Finding the right personal finance software can be a challenge. If you were using Quicken on your old Windows computer, you’ve probably heard that there is a version of Quicken just for the Macintosh computer. Unfortunately, many of the features found in Windows Quicken. Also, using an emulator (letting you run Windows applications on a Mac) can get complicated and is prone to its own set of problems. So now what to do?
I suggest looking into Liquid Ledger. This personal finance software solution comes with a robust set of features which can help you track your money down to the last cent. Confessions Of A Uk Tax Investigator

Many sole traders and small business owners in the UK are oblivious to the insider dealings of HMRC, formerly known as the Inland Revenue and Customs and Excise.

Many seem to think that because their businesses are very small, the Tax Man will not notice them. How wrong they are. HMRC have the most state-of-the-art technology at their disposal and are very much aware of the activities of individual traders. Most often under the spotlight are market traders and construction industry workers, but more recently the work-at-home entrepreneurs have attracted much interest.

More and more individuals are setting up online businesses and selling just about every type of product imaginable. Some are earning five and six-figure incomes from auction sites like ebay and some are doing very nicely from Googles Adsense program. Its not difficult for HMRC inspectors to track down website owners and ebay sellers and they also have the power to access traders PayPal records and accounts.

Anyone not declaring their incomes from these business activities are putting themselves right in the firing line. Tax fraud and tax evasion are serious matters, which can result in very serious consequences. Should a tax inspector become suspicious of a trader, he can instigate a full investigation. The whole process could take months, during which time they will uncover every single piece of evidence needed to prosecute the perpetrator.

Depending on the severity of the tax fraud or the extent of the tax evasion, the individuals concerned could find themselves facing a heavy financial penalty, business closure, loss of the family home or even imprisonment. And they will still have to pay back all taxes due. Is it worth the risk?

Its a gamble with unfanciable odds and overwhelming risks. The only answer is to play it straight and play it fair. Who wants to be looking over their shoulder for the rest of their working life? Like it or not we all have to pay our share of taxes. But that doesnt mean you have to give it all away to the taxman. Just be sure to claim for every single allowance available and for every single tax deductible item which is applicable.

Youll find that your tax bill will be a lot less than you thought. And more importantly youll be able to sleep at night. The best advice is to get the best advice. Better still if you can get an inside view of how the governments HMRC organization works and stay ahead of the game eh? If only

Tips to get Celebrity Bouffant Looks..!! Ah the bouffant. Although some of us would have like to see it stuck back in the 50s, celebrities including Gwen Stefani and Rachel McAdams seem to think otherwise with many going for this hairstyle, first inspired by the likes of Bridget Bardot, at events. And it looks as though this trend will continue with the red carpet season on its way. As a result we’ve taken a -if you can’t beat them, join them,- approach to the style. To get that bouffant just right you’ll need to have a bit of grease so wash your hair the night or day before you attempt this style. Remove the excess water, and comb out your wet hair with a large tooth comb before applying some mousse or gel and then roughly blowdry. On the day allow an hour or two for the style. Section your hair into 5 parts, one for each side, two for the back and one for the top. Starting in the lowest section of the back take small 1′ sections, comb out smooth, spray light with your hair spray and curl with your curling iron or rollers. Pin each curl in place with a pin. Continue this for your whole head apart from your fringe. Once this is done begin removing the pins, starting from the first curl and then back comb the top back centre before putting it into a ponytail. Do this to 2-3 more sections surrounding this centre ponytail. Now, take a section of the back of your hair, about 1/4 of the remainder, and pin onto the base of your ponytails. Then take the curls on the outside and pin them where you would like them to lay. Try bring them close to the center but make sure to cover any rubber bands or bobby pins from earlier. Once this is done take the center curls and try to place ontop of the curls already pinned in place.
